The Mother and Child Premiere on April 19 in Hollywood had stars coming out in droves to support the film. The talk on the red carpet turned to fashion, as is common in this day and age. Between the designer attire and one dress that appeared to have been worn backwards, there was no lack of conversation.

One of the stars of the film, Kerry Washington, looked beautiful as she made her way down the red carpet in a print dress by J. Mendel. The ensemble was perfectly accented with a golden clutch bag and a pair of Sergio Rossi heels. She topped off the outfit with an extra touch of bling by rocking a huge, pink ring by Amrapali.

Bodyamr did not go unrepresented at this Hollywood premiere, as Amanda Seyfried was decked out in a grey and purple silk dress from the designer’s Fall 2010 collection. However, Bodyamr would have been much more pleased if the actress actually wore the dress correctly. Seyfried had the zipper running down the front of the dress, but it should actually be on the back.

New York was the site of the April 26 premiere of the film and the fashion show continued. Classic looks, like the Stella McCartney black cropped pants and lace-accented black top worn by Naomi Watts, ruled the night. Watts kept the color scheme going by pairing the outfit with a black clutch and heels. The look was understated, but at the same time elegant.

Kerry Washington made a follow-up appearance to her showing at the Hollywood premiere and caused quite a splash. Her black and lilac mini dress was sassy and highlighted her beauty. The Zac Posen design was altered from the runway version that sported sheer sleeves. Washington wore peep-toe heels and carried a black clutch to complete her outfit.

Not to be outdone, the older stars of Mother And Child were just as fashionable as the youngsters. A the film’s Los Angeles premiere, Annette Bening highlighted her legs with a classic and stylish black pantsuit and sported husband Warren Beatty as her arm candy. Samuel L. Jackson looked very distinguished as usual and he brought his wife, the attractive Latanya Richardson.

Mother And Child is a film about family, following the lives of three very different women. One is a 50-something health care worker who never got over giving her daughter up for adoption when she became pregnant at age 14. The film also follows the life of her daughter, now an adult and a successful lawyer, and an unrelated woman who decides to adopt after being unable to conceive with her husband.

The New York and Los Angeles Mother and Child Premiere exposed this touching movie to the most high profile actors in the world. It is certain that there were few dry eyes in the house. The stars did not disappoint when it came to fashion and the designs showcased left all of us holding our breaths for the next big movie premiere.
