Walt Disney to be Remembered with Museum

October13

The name Walt Disney carries with it a great deal of meaning. It is equated with majesty and children’s entertainment, movies and theme parks. However, many people fail to remember that despite it all, Walt Disney was once a person before the name became synonymous with a major corporation. Today Disney’s family wants to refocus the public attention back on the person of Walt Disney and they intend to do so by opening a new museum to tell his life’s story.

Walt Disney the man, believes the Disney family, has been lost before Walt Disney the company. The Walt Disney Family Foundation, an organization started nearly twenty years ago, will open the doors at the Walt Disney Museum on October 1, 2009.

Because of the success of the Walt Disney brand, which releases scores of disney dvds each year, has never been more popular, the family believes that many overlook the story of the single man who started an entertainment empire. Who today knows much about this man, Walt Disney, and the things that moved and drove him to become an animation pioneer and one of the founders of Hollywood.

Through exhibits, the Walt Disney museum will replay the key moments in Walt Disney’s life, starting with his birth in Chicago and continuing through his childhood years in St. Louis. The main focus of the museum will be on his life after his move to the embryonic Hollywood of the 1920s and the launch of his Mickey Mouse cartoon which launched his career.

The Walt Dinsey museum will feature many relics from Walt Disney’s past. Among the priceless artifacts that will be on exhibit include primitive animation sketches, bytes of film, rough drafts of movie scripts, and several of Walt Disney’s Academy Awards, including the one presented to him by the Academy for his first full length animated feature, “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.”

Also included will be a mock up of the theme park, later dubbed Disney land, as first imagined by Walt Disney. This theme park’s early designs ended up being quite different from the Walt Disney land that one can visit today. The museum will feature a working model of the train which ran around the Dinsey estate.

Walt Disney, who passed away in 1966, created many movies that live on in children’s minds to this day. Among his biggest hits were “Sleeping Beauty,” “Fantasia,”
and “Cinderella.”

Obama And Spidey Joining Forces

October9

Barack Obama was the first African American elected President of the United States, he has given speeches to hundreds of thousands of people here at home and all over the globe, and makes decisions that impact millions of people each day. But did you know that he has also been in a Marvel Comic book? You heard it correctly, Obama has appeared in Marvel Comic’s The Amazing Spider-Man #583. On January 14th 2009, Marvel printed a special Inauguration Day edition of The Amazing Spider-Man featuring President Barack Obama and the superhero Spider Man as they thwart the villainous Chameleon and his Inauguration Day scheme.

It seems that the President is a long time fan of Marvel Comic Books specifically Spider-Man and Batman, telling Entertainment Weekly: “I was always into the Spider-Man/Batman model. The guys who have too many powers, like Superman, that always made me think they were not really earning their superhero status. It is a little too easy. Whereas Spider-Man and Batman, they have some inner turmoil. They get knocked around a little bit.” Once Marvel Comic’s Editor-in-Chief Joe Quesada found out the President was a Spider Man fan the special Inauguration Day edition was a done deal. “When we heard that [President] Obama is a collector of Spider-Man comics, we knew that these two historic figures had to meet in our comics’ Marvel Universe,” he said in a press release and telling the Associated Press. “It was really, really cool to see that we had a geek in the White House. We’re all thrilled with that.”

In the special issue, Peter Parker notices multiple Obama’s hanging out while taking photos of the President’s Inauguration. He makes the decision to get Spidey on the case. Spiderman goes on to saving the day after weeding out the fake Obama’s and finding the real deal. He does a corny fist bump with the President after being recognized as the hero.

The Amazing Spider-Man #583, which was written by Zeb Wells with art by Todd Nauck and Frank D’Armata, sold out a record three printings in just three weeks and Marvel followed this with the printing of The Amazing Spider-Man #583 fourth printing variant.

All the major media centers inked some words about this big event that will undoubtedly go down in Marvel Comic Book history. A few of the media centers that wrote about the event include:

  • The Los Angles Times
  • USA Today
  • The New York Times
  • The New York Daily News

This isn’t the 1st President to be characterized in the funny pages. Bill Clinton was featured in “Superman: The Man of Steel”. Ronald Reagan had a spot in “Batman: The Dark Knight Returns”, Richard Nixon was in “Watchmen” and of course John F. Kennedy had a role in “Action Comics”. Then there was the “Superman vs. Muhammad Ali” comic book where Jimmy Carter had a part in. Despite the fact that there have been several comic book appearances by various Presidents, Mr. Obama can call himself the first ever to have a starring role.

Anime Takes On A Whole New Life With Amazing Cosplay

October9

Derived from the English words ‘costume’ and ‘play’ cosplay is a rapidly expanding hobby following in the wake of the anime sensation that has taken off in the past two decades. Built on the goal of crafting elaborate and astonishingly accurate costume depictions of fan’s favorite Anime characters, the hobby is an incredible and complex source of fun for anime fans all over the world.

In areas such as the Akihabara district in Japan, cosplay has become an extremely popular and commonly exhibited pastime. In public settings such as parties, nightclubs and video games show, cosplay is a common sight. Some areas have even begun to see the emergence of cosplay cafes and venues that cater exclusively to cosplay.

One of the biggest parts of the Manga cosplay hobby is the creation of the character costume itself. The more intricate and accurate the details of the costume are the better the cosplay is considered. To this end even a person’s hair, skin and physical features may become part of the overall cosplay costume. Many anime events even hold contests where cosplay costumes are judged for accuracy and creativity.

Cosplay costumes require a myriad of craft skills to perfect. From metal to leather to simple linens the materials needed are varied. Getting the most precise and accurate costumes requires a wide range of creative talents and skills to truly depict the unique and often elaborate costumes worn in anime.

Cosplay trends change on a monthly and yearly basis as pop culture and anime changes. Due to the international success of some major film franchise in the past years some fantasy and sci-fi characters have become very popular cosplay figures. Characters from Star Wars and the Harry Potter series are among some of the most popular non-anime characters to see featured as cosplay.

Evolving from within the hobby of cosplay itself are some subset groups of enthusiasts who have taken cosplay in new directions. Crossplay for example is a type of cosplay where the players themselves dress up as characters of the opposite sex. However since anime tends to feature characters wearing a variety of unique and not necessarily gender-specific clothing, this is not seen as all that odd.

Cosplay has grown so much in popularity that in its modern incarnation, cosplay has magazines and websites devoted to it. These resources feature detailed instructions on costume making and materials as well as images of costumes from past conventions. Conventions routinely allow ‘cameko’ or ‘camera boy’ photographers who dedicate themselves to photographing cosplay events.

With Japanese Animation being drastically on the rise in the last two decades, Manga Anime and Cosplay Characters fandom has only increased. The diligent services that cosplay fans put into their hobby as they toil for months on costumes is second to none. With finely honed craftsmanship and a precise attention to detail, Cosplay is a fascinating art form that incorporates many forms of art and culture while providing a fun and social hobby for thousands.

Buying A Bass Guitar Online

October8

Bass guitar is very similar to a typical electric guitar, except the standard version has only four strings (instead of six like the guitar) and it also has a wider body and a slightly longer neck. If you are planning on learning to play the bass, then firstly you should educate yourself about the instrument’s ‘role’ in a band, and secondly you might want to understand the varying techniques used which change depending upon the type of music genre that the particular song belongs to.

There are a variety of different and interesting techniques which can be used to play the bass guitar. For example, slapping is a technique where you use your thumb to strike the E string (normally) before quickly pulling it away to make a slapping sound. The E string is the largest string, the one that plays the lowest sound. Funk music is one of the genres that uses this technique extensively.

Another technique is known as ‘popping’ and this involves putting one of the fingers underneath the string and pulling it outwards, before releasing it so that it ‘pops’ back. These two techniques (slapping and popping) are often used in quick combination to create some amazing sounding riffs.

The main backbone of a band is made up of the bass guitar working closely with the drummer. This section provides the rhythm, the main melody and the basic harmonic foundation for the rest of the band who play chords over the top of this foundation. Obviously, the bassist therefore needs to have particularly good timing. You will normally find more men than women playing the bass, not least because of how thick the strings are, therefore it needs a reasonable amount of finger strength and toughness to be able to play the instrument for very long periods of time without causing injury. It is more likely to be the case if it is a particularly aggressive, rapid style of bass playing required for that type of music.

Another reason for this, is that many larger men have wider fingers, bigger hands, and longer arms which makes it much more comfortable than easy for them to play the bass, whereas it can be quite difficult for them to cope with the intricacies of the electric guitar. For example, a rhythm guitarist will mainly play chords which are more suitable to smaller fingers and a dextrous hand. Therefore for someone with quite large fingers who is possibly a little more clumsy than someone without, the bass guitar might be a much better choice.

Bass guitars are most usually played by using the middle finger plus the index finger to alternatively pluck the strings. The thumb is usually used as a support and is most commonly rested just on top of the pick-up. You can also play the bass guitar with a pick (otherwise known as a plectrum) and there are bass pics manufactured specifically for the bass guitar-these are thicker and more sturdy than the typical electric guitar pick.

If you are looking to buy a bass guitar on the internet, some good tips are to check that the sender will be using adequate packaging to protect the item in transit. Also, you should view pictures of the guitar closely if it is second-hand in order to try and find any marks or other giveaway signs that the instrument has been mis-treated or dropped, as any damage could affect the quality of the sound produced by it.

Of course, as with any purchase on the internet, is a good idea to have a good look at the credentials of the summer (for example if the seller is on eBay) or if it is on a website, it is wise to thoroughly check out the legitimacy of the website, how long it has been selling for online, and any customer reviews who have previously bought from that website. Be sure to check out the refund policy as well as any other terms and conditions.

Fiction fantasy literature — What do you get when you mix Jesus, the Lord Of The Rings, and What the Bleep Do We Know? Creator!

October6

Fiction fantasy literature books includes the Lord Of The Rings, Perfume, and Creator by M.A. Hills. The latter is one of the most recent fiction fantasy literature books, which, interestingly, has elements of the first two. What does Jesus, the Lord Of The Rings, and What the Bleep Do We Know have in common? Creator! It is quite bizarre in its turn of the century language, combined with what seems to be modern quantum physics concepts, and popular spiritual, philosophical attitudes like: living in the moment. It talks about creating a brave new world in the heart of the desert, which reminds one of the Venus project: a progressive, daring, and practical new look of how our future could be, using “real” modern science and technology to bring real progress to the human race. In fact Creator carries the same upbeat and practical message of hope like the Venus project. Join the revolution here: Venus Project

The fiction fantasy literature of Creator is, at the same time, like a myth. It has all the elements of mythology: deep interwoven, layered symbolic meanings, all being correct depending on the readers level of understanding. It is a straightforward narrative, and at the same time a highly meaningful symbolic epic. The reader could dig into the story one day and see some meaning, and pick it up a year later and find a whole new meaning. Find out more about it here: spiritual fiction

Most readers have loved Creator. It has been called enlightening, well written, humorous, daring, yet wordy, wonderfully philosophical, and sometimes too philosophical. You might love it, you might hate it, but you probably won’t be bored. You will of to make your own conclusions of this fiction fantasy literature. Most readers have said that Creator is definitely entertaining, thought provoking, passionate, and highly inspirational. This might be the best fiction fantasy literature you have read; when you truly grasp what Creator is all about your life might change. For now I will say no more. I will let the beginning of the book talk to you instead: “Creator” by M. A. Hills, this is Part One: The Jewel, chapter 1:

In the days of yore when the Christian God sent his only son to save the wretched human race, the Olympian spirits sent a saviour of their own. Unlike Jesus, the saintly pagan son was not without sin, nor error; nor would he ignore temptations, and desire. Ill-fated from the start—he would not become a humble carpenter either, but one who is skilled in warfare, thievery, and deceit. To be sure, if the gods had great ambitions for their Olympian saviour, it seems they were inclined to keep him in the dark. For he who would begin his life without a name, or an inkling of whence he came—the last descendant of a vanishing legacy—would someday be called to perform great miracles, whether he liked it or not. His providence was to become a creator; and now his story will be told.
Thus, during the month of Martius, in the year 1 AD, Virginia Marius became pregnant in a very extraordinary way. She had neither a boyfriend, nor any kind of sexual relationship. Her doctor swore he had never seen anything like it before, swore she was still a virgin. Her father swore it was the work of iniquity: of the mischievous spirits of the dead. Worse still, he would see to it that the child was cut from her belly—like they did to save the life of Caesar—and exterminated…

Creator is like Rembrandt, some people have said, rich deep words instead of thick pigments on a canvas. Grab Creator right now: fiction fantasy literature

5 Things Every Songwriter Needs To Learn To Be A Success

October4

1. Keep on top of your songwriting skills and abilities. Just like an athlete who practices to reach the peak of their performance, a songwriter should also practice regularly. Professional athletes do not reach the peak of their performance by accident. Professionalism takes dedication to a strong work ethic. You may have natural talented but your talent means nothing if your brain doesn’t get used to using this talent. Make a 30 minute songwriting time per day and use it to experiment with chords, write themes or jingles, maybe rearrange something you have recently heard or are familiar with. This is a simple and easy start to what will become a good habit to practice.

2. Spend some time every day listening to music. Concentrate on the lyrics and melodies in the songs you hear. while discovering tips and techniques in the written words of a song that you may not have been aware of.

3. Do not narrow your sphere of influence with just one style of music and songs. Some of the hottest songs played on the radio today are crossovers that have been re-mastered to appeal to a different audience. Country songs are rearranged and played on pop stations. Jazz melodies are frequently worked into Hip Hop recordings. This type of creativity comes from song writers and producers listening and being influenced by various types and styles of music. A successful song writer wants their song heard by as many people as possible. Do not limit your success by limiting your creative influences.

4. Learn the rules of the game. Just because you think you have the perfect melody or tune doesn’t mean the world, or other song writers and performers, will think the same thing. There are no set in stone rules to songwriting, however, there are practices you need to become familiar with. Rewrites and edits are a part of that game, be open to this. A closed mind does not make for a good songwriter. As much as you can, learn the basics of lyrics and poetry writing. Learning is an ongoing process and it’s a fact that as you learn more about the rules of the game, you become more skillful bending those rules. And never forget that writing catchy melodies and smart rhyming lyrics needs lots of practice.

5. Don’t be shy. Make everybody know about your songwriting skills. Show it to friends and family first, then to songwriting communities and finally, seek professional critiques. As your abilities are honed, you will become more confident and, consequently, will be open to advice and recommendations. Remember, it’s the people whom you are writing for, their thoughts do matter.

Great literature — Is all about some deeper hidden meaning, and celebrating life!

October3

Great literature has nothing to do with the method, but the message. On The Road, Naked Lunch, Tropic of Cancer, and Creator are all great literature books.

Great literature is usually about celebrating life, and has some hidden meaning. For some Creator is the best read of their entire lives and perhaps one of the greatest literature books around today. It delves into the hidden creative potentials that we all have, our god powers. Although it is written in a John Galsworthy style language, it is very contemporary, exploring modern quantum physics concepts. It shows us that there is hope through technology, which is very similar to the Venus Project: one that pushes the idea that technology is our saviour not our enemy if used properly. Get great literature now: great literature

Creator shows us that paradise surrounds us right now. Living in the now is the secret to happiness, much like the theme of the Beat book: On The Road. Its all about loving life, not denouncing it.

This great literature is very deep in meaning like a myth. It has both deep layered symbolic meanings, which the reader does not have to understand, as it also has a simple, entertaining narrative about this miracle worker and his struggle. It is also a highly meaningful symbolic epic, dramatically giving us clues to the hidden powers within all of us. It clearly demonstrates that nothing is impossible, on a philosophical level, and the only thing that can really stop us is our self ignorance. You should get great literature right here: fiction literature books

Great literature can begin like this: Creator by M. A. Hills Part One: The Jewel

In the days of yore when the Christian God sent his only son to save the wretched human race, the Olympian spirits sent a saviour of their own. Unlike Jesus, the saintly pagan son was not without sin, nor error; nor would he ignore temptations, and desire. Ill-fated from the start, he would not become a humble carpenter either, but one who is skilled in warfare, thievery, and deceit. To be sure, if the gods had great ambitions for their Olympian saviour, it seems they were inclined to keep him in the dark. For he who would begin his life without a name, or an inkling of whence he came–the last descendant of a vanishing legacy–would someday be called to perform great miracles, whether he liked it or not.
Worse still, he would see to it that the child was cut from her belly–like they did to save the life of Caesar–and exterminated…

Creator is a dangerously fun and enlightening novel of great literature. Creator is when fantasy becomes myth, becomes reality. Now it he time to get great literature here: quality literature
